Surface Collection
Based on Tania’s signature photography, this textural collection is inspired by the different patterns and textures that form on the everyday surfaces around us. Translated into rugs, these unique images of nature’s abstractions are woven by hand from silk and wool.
Flutter captures a hazy silhouette created by leaves as they brush against a textured panel
Leaf Tint shows hints of leaves visible through weathered glass, lined and streaked with age
Smudge is created as tendrils thread their way over a misty glass window partly veiled by the patinaed effects of time
Glimmer captures light as it shimmers through the cracks of a peeling metallic surface
Each of these intricate designs is translated into a luxurious hand knotted rug, made by artisans in Nepal, using a combination of Chinese silk and Himalayan wool. We have a long standing relationship with local rug producers and work closely with GoodWeave, a certification programme with a rigorous and binding set of rules that ensures no child labour is used in the production of our rugs.
