Thamel
During one of Tania’s first visits to Nepal she visited the peaceful Garden of Dreams, a quiet haven in the busy Thamel area of Kathmandu, and was inspired by this leafy shadow on the pathway. While the shadow is softly hand knotted in a wool and silk pile, the pavement pattern is created through a whipstitch technique providing a textural high/low contrast.
