Light Collection
The designs in the Light collection are inspired by the shifting patterns and shapes created by light as it falls. Translated into rugs, these unique images capturing the abstract beauty of filtered light are woven by hand from silk and wool.
In Glow, as light moves across a wall throughout the day, different shapes of light form and are captured through silk glowing on a wool backdrop.
In Haze, as light is filtered through a blind throughout the day, patterns drift across a wall and are interpreted by shades of wool gradating into silk.
As the sun moves across a wall throughout the day, different squares of light blur into each other creating an ever shifting pattern.
Light is captured as it falls in drops. Through using a high knot count and tonal shades of colour, the delicate nuances of light are recreated in wool, while the drops of light shine in silk.
As the light moves across a stairway throughout the day, patterns constantly form, shift and change. Radiance captures the shifting forms of light by subtly gradating wool into bright silk.
Each of these intricate designs is translated into a luxurious hand knotted rug, made by artisans in Nepal, using a combination of Chinese silk and Himalayan wool. We have a long standing relationship with local rug producers and work closely with GoodWeave, a certification programme with a rigorous and binding set of rules that ensures no child labour is used in the production of our rugs.
