Glass Collection

The Glass collection is inspired by Tania’s photos of lines and patterns formed on windows wet with condensation and shadows viewed through glass. Each photograph captures a specific movement that occurs only for one instant.

Translated into rugs, these unique images of light, water and reflections are woven by hand from silk and wool.
Misty streaks of water trickle down glass and are conveyed through shades of wool as they disappear into silvery silk.
Frosted Leaf shows the shadow of leaves silhouetted through a misty window in dusty shades of wool and silk.
Shadows of branches swaying in the breeze briefly illuminate a wall and are captured in shades of wool and silk.
In Tree Mist, branches are viewed through a misty window in dusty shades of wool and vibrant silk.
Wavy rain lines stream down glass in dusky wool and silk
A wall is briefly illuminated with the lustre of this abstract pattern created as the reflections of light pass through glass in wool and silk.
Each of these intricate designs is translated into a luxurious hand knotted rug, made by artisans in Nepal, using a combination of Chinese silk and Himalayan wool. We have a long standing relationship with local rug producers and work closely with GoodWeave, a certification programme with a rigorous and binding set of rules that ensures no child labour is used in the production of our rugs.
